The 16th Annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball is the “must attend” event of the South Florida social scene. In its 15-year history, the Ball has raised more than $8.6 million, enough to grant the heartfelt wishes of 1,900 children with life-threatening medical conditions. This premier event features dinner, drinks, dancing and the chance to bid on fantasy items and experiences in the famed Live & Silent Auctions. This year, the multi-talented Paula Abdul will be our Celebrity Auctioneer and there will be a musical performance by the Tony Award-winning “Jersey Boys.”

More than 800 of South Florida’s local moguls, fashion mavens, prominent business leaders, notable philanthropists like Al and Nancy Malnik, socialites and jet setters attended last year’s gala. Guests were transported to a mythical world filled with fascinating creatures. Florida Governor Charlie Crist was in attendance, while beauty Pamela Anderson acted as the Live Auction’s celebrity emcee.

Over the years, celebrity guests have included Sharon Stone, Richie Rich, Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons, Don King, Scottie Pippen, Mike Piazza, Marcus Schenkenberg, Kim Kardashian, Shareef Malnik of The Forge Restaurant and Venus and Serena Williams. Musical performers have included Wyclef Jean, Macy Gray, Natalie Cole, D.J. Cassidy and D.J. Irie. Stay tuned for more details.
